If you’re a Sole trader then you must  have your Self-Assessed Tax return filed and completed by the 31st January if filing online. Limited Companies must file their accounts at Companies House within 9 months of the accounting year end. You must pay the corporation tax within 9 months of the year end and a Corporation Tax return CT600 must be filed within 1 year of the accounting year end. Fines and penalties for late filing of any of these documents are imposed. These fines and penalties also increase with the amount of time the accounts and returns are overdue.
